The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Kad Dedi-vek is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious paverstone streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city is the proud owner of a proper castle-style stone wall complete with all of the trimmings. It has towers, a moat, gatehouses, drawbridges, and even merticulationsshortsizeleadershipname.. The perhapse unnessisarily well built defences have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Right off the bat Kad Dedi-vek hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this city has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The influx of wealth has brought with it an influx of relaxation. Everywhere you look people are enjoying their prosperity in a slow, casual, and deliberate manner. There’s no rush for anything anywhere you look.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Kad Dedi-vek was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Kad Dedi-vek lost 101 people, 235 livestock, and 69 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 224, when members of Kad Dedi-vek's militia enacted an operation to escort a particular prison to a safe location. The operation was complicated by extremely hostile wildlife which took many out of action. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in defeat for Kad Dedi-vek's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Kad Dedi-vek's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
